Anjum Kumar Gupta, Ph.D.

Founder & Portfolio Manager

Anjum Gupta holds a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence and computer science and a bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from UC San Diego. He has taught artificial intelligence at UC San Diego for more than fifteen years and continues to advise the university’s AI research.

Earlier in his career, he served as a chief scientist on U.S. Department of Defense artificial-intelligence research programs, helping pioneer applied AI work in San Diego. He brings that same rigor — building from first principles and testing every assumption — to the firm’s work.
